Accomplishments

Ivan Sutherland created Sketchpad in 1963, it was the start for digital art and it did what many drawing apps do today. This technology was also stepping stones for the graphical user interface which is used for the screen of our devices today. Along with David Evans, he created the first ever virtual reality headset in the 1960's! This technology is used to create training programs for jobs and you can simulate anything on there. Other works includes working for the NSA, work on printer language, professor at Harvard, and founder of Evans and Sutherland Computer Corporation. He has received the Turing award, IEEE awards, the first National Academy of Engineering award, and many more for his pioneering work in computer sciences.
